      Polyethylene terephthalate-I ,4-cyclohexanedimeth yleneterephthalate (PETG)

PETG is a non-crystalline copolyester. During its production, a certain amount of filler is replaced by 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM), which prevents crystallinity and improves processing and transparency. Its products have high transparency and excellent impact resistance, especially thick-walled transparent products. They have excellent processing and molding properties and can be designed in any shape according to the designer's intention. Traditional injection molding, injection molding, blow molding and blister molding may be used. The forming method can be widely used in markets such as plates, sheets, high-performance repair films, bottles and special-shaped materials. At the same time, it has excellent secondary processing performance and can be modified by conventional machining.

      Product Characteristics

PETG sheet has outstanding toughness and high impact strength. Its impact strength is 3 to 10 times that of modified polyacrylate. It has a wide processing range, high mechanical strength and excellent flexibility. It is more transparent than PVC High, good gloss, easy to print and has environmental advantages

      Standards-Compliant

SKYGREEN® S2008 is a glycol-modified polyethylene terephthalate (PETG) with excellent clarity and processability that makes it an attractive solution for versatile end-use applications. S2008 meets the ISO 10993-1 guidelines and USP Class VI biocompatibility requirements. (ISO 10993-1 guidelines include 10993-3 genotoxicity, 10993-4 blood compatibility, 10993-5 cytotoxicty, 10993-6 muscle graft, 10993-10 sensitivity/stimulation, 10993-11 acute systemic toxicty, and Aman chronic systemic toxicity.)It has excellent optical/physical properties stability even after sterilization, satisfying the test requirements described in ISO 11607-1. As with other SKYGREEN® grades, S2008 meets the requirements for food contact materials in Korea, the US, Europe, China, and Japan.

      Application

SK PETG S2008 is commonly used in medical devices, medical packaging, sheet materials, construction, household appliances, labware, food and beverage packaging, and more.
