Polyadiohexylenediamine/Nylon-66 (PA66)
Polyhexamethylene adipamide, commonly known as nylon-66, is a thermoplastic resin generally produced by the condensation polymerization of adipic acid and hexamethylene diamine. Insoluble in common solvents, only soluble in m-cresol, etc. The mechanical strength and hardness are very high, and the rigidity is great. It can be used as engineering plastics, mechanical accessories such as gears, lubricated bearings, instead of non-ferrous metal materials to make machine casings, automobile engine blades, etc., and can also be used to make synthetic fibers.
Product Characteristics
A type of thermoplastic resin containing amide groups (—CONH—) in the repeating structural units of the molecular backbone. Often made into cylindrical pellets, the molecular weight of polyamide used for plastics is generally 15,000 to 20,000. The common characteristics of various polyamides are flame resistance, high tensile strength (up to 104MPa) [3], wear resistance, good electrical insulation, heat resistance (heat deformation temperature at 455kPa is above 150℃), melting point 150~250 ℃, the molten resin has high fluidity and a relative density of 1.05 to 1.15 (can be increased to 1.6 by adding fillers), and most of them are non-toxic. However, when the monomer content in the resin is too high, it should not be in contact with skin or food for a long time.
Standards-Compliant
BASF PA66 A3UG5 complies with REACH standards and ROHS certification.
Application
The application fields of BASF PA66 A3UG5 include automotive, chemical industry and other fields.
BASF's PA66 A3UG5 material is widely used in automotive, chemical and other fields due to its excellent mechanical properties, thermal stability, chemical resistance and environmental protection. This material has good processing and coloring properties, making it easy to handle and adaptable to individual needs. With the advancement of science and technology and the increasing awareness of environmental protection, A3UG5 is expected to play an important role in more fields.
In addition, 25% fiber reinforced nylon 66 (PA66 with 25% glass fiber reinforcement) has high strength and stiffness, maintains good dimensional stability, is widely used in the field of engineering plastics, is especially suitable for automotive parts Components, electronic and electrical equipment and machinery manufacturing and other fields.
Save And Suggest
Temperature control: Should be stored in a dry, cool environment, avoid direct sunlight,to maintain the stability of the material.
Avoid contamination: It should be stored in isolation to prevent dust, impurities and other external pollutants from entering, and keep the material clean.
Moisture-proof measures: Because PA66 material is sensitive to moisture, moisture-proof measures need to be taken, such as using sealed containers for storage, to avoid the material getting damp.
Avoid long-term storage: It should be used as soon as possible to avoid long-term storage of materials resulting in performance degradation.
To sum up, the storage recommendations for BASF PA66 A3UG5 are mainly to maintain the stability of its physical and chemical properties, and to avoid the material being affected by moisture, contamination, or performance degradation caused by long-term storage.
