General Purpose Polystyrene GPPS
Polystyrene,or PS for short,is a colorless and transparent thermoplastic,of which expanded polystyrene is commonly known as Styrofoam.The monomer of polystyrene is styrene.Polystyrene is hard and brittle,colorless and transparent.Polystyrene is classified into a number of categories,including ordinary polystyrene,expanded polystyrene(EPS),high-impact polystyrene(HIPS)and intergraded polystyrene(SPS).Ordinary polystyrene resin is non-toxic,odorless,colorless transparent particles,like glassy brittle material,its products have a very high transparency,light transmittance of up to 90%or more,good electrical insulation properties,easy to color,good processing fluidity.The shortcomings of ordinary polystyrene are brittle,low impact strength,easy to stress cracking,poor heat resistance and intolerance to boiling water.
